Grilled Wasabi Salmon

You may or may not have heard this on the news, but it has been a banner year for salmon.

Which is certainly good for me because salmon is not only one of my favourite foods, it's health benefits are numerous.

Linked to the prevention of heart disease, stroke, high blood pressure, and even depression, the PB and I take that kind of information to heart (literally) and eat salmon twice a week. We also take a salmon oil supplement in the mornings.

I've posted several recipes for salmon over the years but, perhaps, this is my favourite.

It's an adaptation of a recipe I found on All recipes and I have to tell you - YUMM!

So please people, eat more salmon - why? Because I heart you. And then try this recipe. It really is...

Just.

That.

Fabulous.

Here's what you do...

Season some beautiful, fresh salmon fillets with lemon pepper, garlic powder, and salt.

In a large bowl, stir together soy sauce, brown sugar, wasabi powder, water, and canola oil until sugar is dissolved. Place fish in the bowl and turn to coat. Cover and refrigerate for at least 2 hours.

Preheat grill for medium heat.

Lightly oil the grill grate. Place salmon skin side down on the preheated grill, and discard marinade. Cook salmon for 6 to 8 minutes per side, or until the fish flakes easily with a fork.

Enjoy! (For PRINTABLE RECIPE click HERE)
